Peru: Journey into the Sacred with Journey Land & Soul
With Coleen Karpf
October 11 - 17, 2026
Our Journey Into the Sacred Retreat is a transformative seven day co-ed experience for men and women in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. This is a place where the mountains hold ancient wisdom and Pachamama (Mother Earth) invites deep connection and renewal. Nestled in the Sacred Valley—the land of the Incas and one of the world’s most powerful energetic centers—we’ll spend a week immersed in movement, mindfulness, cultural exploration, nature, and sacred rituals.
With expert local guides, we’ll hike through breathtaking landscapes and explore magnificent archaeological sites including the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, Pisac and Moray. Along the way, we’ll connect with local artisans, healers, farmers and musicians who will share their traditions, ceremonies and stories, offering us an intimate glimpse into Andean culture.
Do I need previous experience?
Nope! This retreat is open to individuals across all levels, backgrounds and walks of life from beginners onward. There is no specific previous experience required– we just ask that you come with a willingness to learn and an open mind!
Who is this retreat for?
If you have an adventurous spirit and a love for exploring the world around you… this retreat is for you! We welcome men and women from all walks of life and all stages of life. While we require everyone to be 21+, we have no other age restrictions. Core to our ethos is that we all have a tremendous amount to learn from one another, and sharing knowledge across life stages and experiences is integral to our collective growth. This diversity in background is what makes our groups so special.
What level of fitness is recommended?
To fully enjoy this retreat, a moderate level of fitness and mobility is recommended. Our days will often include several hours of touring on foot across uneven terrain including cobblestone streets, dirt paths, and archeological sites with stairs. If you have any concerns about endurance or stability, we recommend preparing by incorporating regular walks, hikes, and strength training into your routine in the weeks leading up to the trip.
Can you tell me about the altitude?
This retreat takes place at elevations between 8,000 and 12,000 feet above sea level. Adjusting can take a few days, and mild symptoms are common. If possible, we recommend arriving in Peru a few days prior to the retreat to acclimate. To support acclimatization, we recommend taking it slow, staying hydrated, and avoiding alcohol. If possible, train by spending time at higher altitudes before the trip. Some travelers have found prescription medications like Diamox for altitude sickness to be effective. If you have health or altitude concerns, consult your doctor.
